Vishwa Panchang is the dream project of the Pidaparti Poornayya Vigyan Trust ( PPV Trust), Chennai, founded by Sri Pidaparti Narasimha Murty (P N Murty).

It is designed to serve people all over the world who need data from the Hindu calendar specific to their location. This calendar depends on celestial phenomenon and besides time reckoning, each phenomenon has some cosmic properties which either supports or disrupts the plans of human beings. This differentiation in the supportive and destructive nature of the time is the main and most attractive feature of a panchang, a scientific masterwork of the ancient Vedic seers. The Need of Different Calendars.

Though a celestial phenomenon is universal and is equal for all, the time of the same phenomenon would differ from one place to another. Hence a ‘’panchang’’ calculated for one place cannot be used for other far-off places. An effort has been made to bring the greatest degree of accuracy in the calculations, as possible.
